CMF BY NOTHING Speaker M Portable Bluetooth Speaker

CMF Speaker M Technical Specifications

Before choosing a portable Bluetooth speaker, it’s helpful to review its core specifications. The following table summarises the manufacturer’s published details for the CMF Speaker M.

These specifications show how the speaker combines a dedicated audio system, wireless and wired connectivity, battery-powered operation, and physical controls in one portable device.

CMF BY NOTHING Speaker M Portable Bluetooth Speaker

The CMF BY NOTHING Speaker M Portable Bluetooth Speaker combines 35W RMS audio output, a dual-driver sound system, Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, and a distinctive portable design. It is designed for listeners who want powerful sound, flexible connectivity, and practical controls in a compact speaker. With features such as Ultra Bass, Custom EQ, Stereo Mode, Party Mode, and IP68 dust and water protection, the Speaker M offers a versatile listening experience for everyday entertainment.

If you want to Buy CMF BY NOTHING Speaker M Portable Bluetooth Speaker from Gears Wheel at a low price in Bangladesh, this model brings together modern audio technology and a design that stands out from conventional wireless speakers. Its dedicated woofer and tweeter help reproduce different parts of the audio range, while its rechargeable battery supports extended playback. Furthermore, USB-C audio connectivity provides an alternative to wireless listening when you connect compatible devices.

The CMF Speaker M is suitable for a range of listening situations, including music at home, entertainment at a desk, and audio during travel. Its built-in handle makes carrying easier, and its physical controls allow you to manage playback without relying entirely on your phone. In addition, the Nothing X app supports sound customisation, allowing you to adjust the listening profile according to your preferences.

35W RMS Dual-Driver Audio System

The main highlight of the CMF BY NOTHING Speaker M Portable Bluetooth Speaker is its dedicated two-driver configuration. It combines a 70 mm woofer rated at 25W RMS with a 16 mm tweeter rated at 10W RMS. Together, these drivers provide a total rated output of 35W RMS.

A dual-driver design allows different components to handle different parts of the audio spectrum. The woofer focuses on lower frequencies, helping deliver bass, while the tweeter handles higher frequencies that contribute to the detail of vocals and instruments. As a result, the speaker is designed to provide a more differentiated sound presentation across music and other audio content.

The specified frequency response ranges from 60 Hz to 20,000 Hz (20 kHz). This covers a broad range of audible frequencies, making the Speaker M suitable for listening to different types of music, spoken content, and video soundtracks.

Its audio features include:

• 35W RMS output: Combines a 25W woofer and a 10W tweeter.
• Ultra Bass: Provides a dedicated bass enhancement option.
• Wide Soundstage: Supports a wider, more spacious audio presentation.
• Custom EQ: Allows further sound adjustment through compatible software.
• Night Mode: Offers a lower-volume listening option.

These features give listeners different ways to adjust their experience. For example, you can use the bass enhancement for music with prominent low frequencies or adjust the equaliser to emphasise vocals. The final sound will depend on the audio source, listening environment, volume, and selected settings.

Portable Design With a Distinctive Appearance

The CMF Speaker M Bluetooth speaker features a geometric body inspired by the shape of a milk carton. Instead of following the conventional rounded design of many portable speakers, it uses strong lines and a distinctive profile. CMF by Nothing also includes a built-in carrying handle, making it easier to move the speaker between rooms or carry it while travelling.

Despite its substantial audio output, the speaker measures 220 mm in height, 85 mm in width, and 54 mm in depth. Its listed weight is 602 grams. These dimensions provide useful information when deciding where to position it or how to carry it in a bag.

Another design feature is the removable front panel, which supports customisation. The product also includes a toggle that allows users to swap the positions of the knob and front panel according to the supported configuration.

The physical controls are another important part of the design. Rather than depending entirely on a smartphone, you can use the speaker’s dedicated buttons and control knob for everyday playback functions. This arrangement makes basic operation more direct, whether you’re listening at your desk or enjoying music in a shared space.

Bluetooth 6.0 and Flexible Connectivity

Wireless connectivity is central to the CMF Speaker M’s design. It uses Bluetooth 6.0 to connect compatible smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other Bluetooth audio sources. Once paired, you can play music and other supported audio without connecting a traditional audio cable.

The manufacturer lists a Bluetooth connection range of more than 100 metres in open space under suitable conditions. However, this figure shouldn’t be treated as a guaranteed indoor range. Walls, other wireless devices, interference, and the connected device can affect the actual distance.

The speaker also supports dual-device connections, allowing two compatible audio sources to remain connected. This is useful when switching between a phone and a laptop without repeatedly going through the full pairing process.

Additional connectivity features include:

• NFC Fast Pair: Supports tap-based connection and reconnection with compatible phones.
• Google Fast Pair: Simplifies pairing on supported Android devices.
• Microsoft Swift Pair: Supports simplified pairing with compatible Windows devices.
• USB-C audio: Provides a wired digital audio option.
• Bluetooth audio codecs: AAC and SBC, with LC3 for Auracast audio.

These options make the speaker adaptable to different devices and listening situations. For example, Bluetooth is convenient for everyday music playback, while USB-C audio can be useful when the speaker is connected to a compatible computer.

USB-C Audio for Desktop Entertainment

The USB-C connection does more than support charging. The CMF Speaker M also supports audio playback through USB-C, with a specified latency below 60 milliseconds for this connection.

This feature can be useful when playing audio from a desktop or laptop, including music, films, and other multimedia content. A wired digital connection may also be preferable when you want to avoid relying on a wireless audio link.

However, compatibility depends on the connected device and its audio output support. For the intended connection method, use compatible hardware and the appropriate USB-C cable.

Up to 18 Hours of Battery Life and Fast Charging

Battery performance is an important consideration for a portable wireless speaker. The CMF BY NOTHING Speaker M includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with a rated capacity of 4,900 mAh at 3.8V. According to the manufacturer’s specifications, it supports up to 18 hours of audio playback under specified testing conditions.

This claimed playback time was measured using AAC audio, 50% volume, Balanced EQ, Ultra Bass enabled, and the other settings at their default values. Actual battery life can vary depending on volume, audio content, connection conditions, enabled features, and battery age. Therefore, the maximum stated playback time shouldn’t be treated as a fixed duration for every listening session.

The speaker uses a USB Type-C connection for charging. The manufacturer specifies approximately three hours for a full charge using a compatible 5V/3A power supply. It also supports fast charging, which can provide up to one hour of playback from a 10-minute charge under the specified test conditions.

These features help make the CMF Speaker M practical for regular listening. You can use it for music during work, entertainment at home, or a portable audio setup without needing to keep it connected to a power source throughout every session.

For the best results, use a compatible charging adapter and cable. Remember that higher volume levels and additional sound processing may reduce playback time compared with the manufacturer’s test conditions.

IP68 Dust and Water Protection

The CMF Speaker M comes with an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. This rating indicates that the device has been tested against dust ingress and water exposure under specified laboratory conditions. According to the manufacturer, its testing included immersion in fresh water at a depth of up to 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes.

This protection can be useful when using the speaker in environments where dust or accidental splashes may be a concern. It adds a practical layer of protection for a portable device that may be moved between different locations.

However, an IP68 rating doesn’t mean that the speaker is indestructible or suitable for every water-related activity. Water resistance can decrease through wear, damage, or improper handling. The manufacturer’s stated test conditions also shouldn’t be interpreted as permission to deliberately submerge the speaker.

For everyday use, it’s sensible to keep the charging connection protected from moisture and follow the manufacturer’s care instructions. If the speaker is exposed to liquid, ensure that it is handled safely before attempting to charge it.

Ultra Bass, Custom EQ and Night Mode

Audio preferences vary from person to person. Some listeners prefer pronounced bass, while others want vocals to stand out clearly. The CMF Speaker M addresses these preferences through a collection of sound features designed to adjust the listening experience.

Ultra Bass

Ultra Bass provides an option for enhancing low-frequency sound. It can be useful when listening to bass-heavy music or tracks where lower frequencies play a prominent role. The feature can be switched on or off using the physical control knob.

Custom EQ

The speaker supports equaliser customisation through the Nothing X app on compatible devices. Its listed presets include Balanced, More Bass, More Treble, and Voice. You can also use Custom EQ to adjust the sound profile more precisely.

Each preset serves a different listening preference. Balanced offers a general-purpose profile, More Bass emphasises lower frequencies, More Treble increases the emphasis on higher frequencies, and Voice is intended to prioritise spoken content.

Wide Soundstage

The Wide Soundstage feature is designed to create a more spacious presentation. This can be useful for films and other content where the separation between different sounds contributes to the listening experience.

Night Mode

Night Mode is intended for quieter listening. It reduces overall energy and lowers bass emphasis, with the manufacturer describing a maximum loudness of around 60% of Standard Mode. Actual output and the perceived difference depend on the content and listening environment.

Together, these options provide flexibility without requiring you to use the same sound profile for every activity.

Stereo Mode and Auracast Party Mode

The CMF Speaker M supports two multi-speaker features: Stereo Mode and Party Mode. Although both involve connecting speakers, they serve different purposes.

Stereo Mode allows two compatible Speaker M units to create a wider stereo soundstage. Audio is divided between the left and right channels, offering a more spatial presentation than a single speaker can provide.

Party Mode uses Auracast to connect compatible speakers for broader audio coverage. This can help distribute music across a larger listening area when the appropriate equipment is available.

These features serve different needs. Stereo Mode focuses on channel separation, while Party Mode focuses on sharing audio across compatible speakers. In both cases, supported devices and correct configuration are required.

For customers considering a multi-speaker setup, checking compatibility before purchasing additional equipment is important. Not every wireless speaker supports Auracast or the same stereo-pairing functionality.

Physical Controls and Easy Operation

The CMF Speaker M combines dedicated buttons with a multifunction control knob. This gives you direct access to common playback functions without having to unlock your phone every time you want to adjust the music.

The control knob supports several functions:

• Press once: Play or pause audio.
• Press twice: Skip to the next track.
• Press three times: Return to the previous track.
• Press and hold for two seconds: Toggle Ultra Bass.
• Rotate clockwise: Increase the volume.
• Rotate counterclockwise: Decrease the volume.

The dedicated Bluetooth button supports pairing, while the Auracast button controls Party Mode. The power button handles switching the speaker on or off.

The speaker also uses LED indicators to communicate its status. For example, the rear LED flashes blue during Bluetooth pairing and remains blue when connected. The front LED communicates battery and charging status.

These tactile controls provide a straightforward way to manage everyday playback, while the Nothing X app adds further customisation options on compatible devices.
